Sriphala Studios is an independent film practice working with moving image, memory, place, language and lived experience.
Parish Sharma is a mixed media artist and filmmaker working across experimental film, moving image, spatial practice and art direction. With a background in architecture and media arts, his practice moves between image and space, exploring memory, place, language and lived experience.
His film Elegy received Best Drama and Best Performances at the ECU Film Screen Awards, Best Student Director at Venice Shorts, Best Costume Design at the Watersprite Film Festival, and an Honorable Mention at the Timeless Awards. The film has screened at festivals in Canada, the UK, the United States and Europe.
Alongside his film practice, Sharma works in art direction and set design, with credits spanning independent productions and television. Sriphala Studios brings these practices together through film, spatial narratives and commissioned work.
